For the Casserole:
- 1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough (cut into quarters)
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
For the Gravy:
- 1 package (2.75 oz) country gravy mix
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp butter (optional for extra creaminess)
Instructions
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2️⃣ Cook the sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
3️⃣ Cut each biscuit into quarters and spread them evenly in the greased baking dish.
4️⃣ Layer the sausage on top of the biscuits.
5️⃣ Whisk together eggs, 1 cup of milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over the biscuit and sausage mixture.
6️⃣ Prepare the gravy according to the package instructions (using the remaining 1 cup of milk). Pour evenly over the casserole.
7️⃣ Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top.
8️⃣ Bake for 35-40 minutes until the casserole is set and golden brown.
9️⃣ Let cool for 5 minutes, then serve warm with extra gravy on the side.
